Bemmbridge Coast Hotel - Royal Rooms Larger that the other rooms and with beautifully furnished interiors ad that unadulterated touch of luxury, try a large open plan bedroom today.
Second visit in the last 4 months. So peaceful and scenic. This time we went from Portsmouth to Fishburne which was very quick and efficient - even managed to get an early ferry back.We had a Garden Suite this time a Royale Room last time which are both signature experiences - worth the extra - in Winter you have to exit the main hotel and these rooms are outside - was very blustery and wet but did not alter our enjoyment.Great comedian on Friday evening and although we did not fancy the main entertainment on Saturday we watched an excellent entertainer Dave Graham from the Tornados - thoroughly enjoyed.Quiz swimming bowls and much more. Food plentiful and reserved tables both in the restaurant and entertainment hall. Can not wait to go again.
The hotel is situated on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight with beautiful views over the Solent. The grounds are very well maintained and large.
We were in a Signature room which was on the first floor and quite large (131). The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and tea/coffee were replenished daily as well as biscuits. There was plenty of hot water, towels changed as often as wanted and the lovely toiletries were replenished daily. The bottle of wine was much appreciated as were the home made cookies. Beds were very comfortable and had comfortable pillows and mattress toppers.
The food was gorgeous, servings were ample, food hot with plenty of choice. The restaurant was busy but staff worked tirelessly and appeared to cope well with customer numbers.
We used the leisure facilities a number of times particularly liking the sauna,
All members of staff were found to be helpful and courteous. Everywhere was clean and tidy.
Although we didn’t stay to watch the evening entertainment, our other coach companions did finding all interesting. Definitely visit again and highly recommend.
We have just returned from our 2nd visit to this hotel. We were a family group with ages ranging from 87 down to 23. We had the sea view signature rooms which now have the addition of balconies. You get wine, cookies and crisps which are replenished as necessary. We have all, for the second time, had an amazing break. The food is plentiful and delicious. Restaurant is busy but with a hotel of this size, it's to be expected. The only disappointing thing on this visit was there was no evening Bingo in the ballroom like last time which we all enjoyed but we did the Hoy bingo in the day time instead. This place is what you make it. Plenty of beautifully kept gardens, right on the sea with plenty of activities if you want them. The shows & evening entertainment are different every night, with some nights better than others but overall, very enjoyable. As a group, every single one of us had a ball and will be back again. Huge thanks to BRIAN on the bar, AGATHA in the restaurant and KELLY on reception who all went the extra mile to ensure our break was special. Thanks to all of you and hope to see you again when we return.
